Christian Boshell, also known by his music alias Phraktal and Emotional Alchemy, is a transdisciplinary artist whose work spans electronic music, visual arts, and immersive digital design. With over 30 years of experience, Christian has built a reputation for seamlessly integrating sound, visual art, and technology, creating experiences that captivate both the eyes and the ears.
Under the moniker Phraktal, Christian has released six critically acclaimed albums and over 100 tracks, blending deep house, techno, and ambient soundscapes. His passion for electronic music has earned him residencies at some of Ireland's most iconic clubs and opportunities to share the stage with legends like Prince, Grandmaster Flash, and Lil Louis Vega.
As a visual artist, Christian's work explores themes of dystopia, memory, & creationism, often using a unique mix of digital and physical techniques. His distinctive style has garnered recognition, including two merits of distinction from the Luxembourg Art Prize and features in exhibitions and galleries across Ireland and beyond.

Inspiration strikes in various forms—be it a fleeting moment in nature, a powerful piece of music, or the dynamic interplay of colors in a painting. I keep an open mind and a curious heart, allowing these influences to shape my work. My goal is to create environments where the audience can not only observe but also participate, blurring the lines between creator and viewer.
Ultimately, I strive to evoke emotion and provoke thought through my art. I am constantly exploring new technologies and techniques to enhance the storytelling aspect of my work, ensuring that every experience is as impactful as it is memorable.

Chris and I have worked together in some capacity since 2004.
At the time, I owned Spundae Records, and he was an artist looking to find a home for his music.
We ended up as studio mates, and he led production. Since then, we've partnered on our own award-winning recording label, Omnis Recordings.
His ability to find raw talent and think outside the box on remixes and promotions is an extremely valuable skill set I recognize him for.
Chris is, by far, one of the soundest gentlemen in the industry I have come to work with and plan to work with indefinitely.
